This is a clinically oriented course designed to emphasize the basics.
The topics include: macro and micronutrients, prenatal nutrition, nutrition
in childhood, nutritional assessment and nutrition in critical illness,
obesity and nutrition and coronary artery disease.

Scanu
Seminar on the current advances in the area of lipoproteins, cells, and
regulatory
mechanisms in cholesterol metabolism and role played by human genetics.
Emphasis
on recent developments in molecular biology of the apolipoproteins.

A reading course with in-depth study of insulin secretion and action.
Particular emphasis is placed on learning to read primary literature,
give oral presentations of papers and writing of research proposals.
