Courses in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures

Courses

The listing below represents a fairly complete repertory of the regular departmental offerings. Required courses for the A.M. are given each year; two of the required courses for the Ph.D. are offered only in alternate years. The course titles are given in the language of course instruction. Most course work is done in the language of the field of study; however, certain classes are taught in English, either because they are required of all students in the department or because they are more broadly conceived and appeal to a wider audience.
